MASFAA Announces Just the FACTS! Training Opportunity

The MASFAA Executive Council and Just the FACTS Planning Committee are pleased to announce the details of the 2009-10 Just the FACTS! Training. Building on the success of prior years, MASFAA is pleased to once again offer comprehensive, fundamental and inexpensive training to our newest members.

The FACTS (Financial Aid Core Training Seminar) uses NASFAA's CORE training materials to provide training in the basics of the financial aid process from A to Z. The training begins with a description of the federal financial assistance programs and concludes with valuable information regarding the various resources available to you as a new financial aid professional. Please note that the focus of the training is on federal needs analysis and programs. Institutional Methodology is not a component of this training.

The training will be offered over a period of five weeks, one day per week at no cost to MASFAA members. Trainers are seasoned financial aid professionals who have extensive experience in the administration of federal financial aid at various types of institutions (public, private, 2-year, 4-year, graduate or undergraduate).

You must be a MASFAA member in order to register for the training. Please log into the web site using your membership ID and password. If you have not yet become a member, you must do so before you can register for the workshop series.

 Registration Policy

The training is intended to be comprehensive and it is expected that participants will attend all five weeks (one day per week) of the training. Space is limited and classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Priority will be given to aid professionals currently working at academic institutions, and to individuals who have not previously attended the Just the FACTS series. Attendance will be limited to two participants per educational institution or school; additional participants from the same institution/school will be placed on a wait-list until registration has closed. These registrants will be admitted if space permits. Associate members are welcome to attend if space permits.
