This free training Series is designed to meet the needs of new financial aid professionals with less than two years of experience.
The FACTS (Financial Aid Core Training Seminar) uses NASFAA’s CORE training materials to provide training in the basics of the financial aid process from A to Z. The training begins with a description of the federal financial assistance programs and concludes with valuable information regarding the various resources available to you a as a new financial aid professional. The focus of the training is on federal needs analysis and with Day 5 discussing a bit about different types of methodologies along with packaging and Professional Judgment.
The training will be offered over a period of five weeks, one day per week on the dates mentioned below at no cost to MASFAA members. Trainers are seasoned financial aid professionals who have extensive experience in the administration of federal financial aid at various types of institutions (public, private, 2-year, 4-year, graduate and undergraduate).
Training will be offered at Wellesley College and all sessions run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with a break for lunch. Session dates are September 28, 2016, October 5, 2016, October 12, 2016, October 19, 2016, and October 26, 2016. Participants are expected to attend all five weeks. Priority will be given to aid professionals currently working at academic institutions. Two attendees per institution are allowed. Exceptions are possible if space permits. Associate members are welcome to attend if space permits.
Training will be offered at Wellesley College at the Wang Campus Center, Room 413, 103 Central Street, Wellesley, MA 02481.

When your registration is confirmed, your name will be added to the Just the FACTS list-serve. The list-serve will provide a forum for communicating questions and announcements about the training with your fellow participants and trainers. Notification regarding delays or cancellation due to inclement weather will also be posted to the list-serve.
